It feels like an eternity since I last did my portrait shoot. My last shoot was a family portrait early in the month. One of the things I love about a portrait shoot is that you control your subject. He/she will pose according to the picture you have in mind. Since then, I’ve done my weekly Rotary event shoots at my club and the Rotary Club of Nairobi. Luckily, last Monday, my best friend asked me to do a shoot for some of his favorite sports jersey.
Collo, as well all call him, and my best friend is the man behind Nomcebo Hub, which is a sports fashion house and an apparel shop. It deals in authentic jerseys, football uniforms, sports equipment, and soccer boots.
The Sports Jersey Shoot
This sports jersey portrait shoot was outside my apartment. Collo, who’s been staying with me for a few days, suggested we take a few shots of the jerseys he had carried over from the Dusty South. We set out for the shoot armed with my favorite toy, the Canon EOS 750D, and an 18-55mm kit lens. The shoot took about two hours and nine jerseys in total covered. Despite a few interruptions from cars and people passing by, my neighborhood street provided the perfect location for some great shots.
